Sports/Injury Massage

This type of massage treatment focuses on the injured areas while manipulating specific muscles, ligaments, and tendons to promote healing and improve mobility. We treat a variety of injuries, including ankle sprains, tennis elbow, neck and back pain, hamstring tears, strained muscles, and many others. Sports injury massage treatments can serve as a preventive measure to keep future injuries from occurring.

Swedish/Relaxation Massage

The principle of Swedish massage is to manipulate the superficial layers of muscles and connective tissue. Being the most popular treatment in the Western world, it aims to balance muscle tone, increase oxygen flow in the blood and release toxins from the muscles.

Hot Stone Massage

Hot stone massage is a specialty that involves the use of smooth, heated stones that the massage therapist places on your body. The stone heat can be both deeply relaxing and help warm up tight muscles so the therapist can work more deeply.

Cupping.jpg

Cupping

This remarkable therapy employs negative pressure, rather than tissue compression, for superior results in the wide array of bodywork techniques. The suction and negative pressure provided by “cupping” can loosen muscles, encourage blood flow, and sedate the nervous system (making it an excellent treatment for high blood pressure). Cupping is used to relieve back and neck pains, stiff muscles, anxiety, fatigue, migraines, rheumatism, and even cellulite.

Pregnancy massage (pre & post natal)

(with issues relating to sciatica, lymphatic drainage for varicose veins and edema, etc)

Therapeutic massage can ease the physical discomforts, stress, and anxiety many women experience during pregnancy.
It can help reduce edema in the extremities, improve circulation and reduce spasms in tight overworked muscles, improve posture and restful sleep, and help pregnant women feel nurtured.

reflexology.jpg

Reflexology

Reflexology, also known as zone therapy, is an alternative medicine involving application of pressure to the feet and hands with specific thumb, finger, and hand techniques without the use of oil or lotion. It is based on a system of zones and reflex areas that purportedly reflect an image of the body on the feet and hands, with the premise that such work effects a physical change to the body

trigger point.jpg

Trigger point therapy

Trigger points are sore, painful spots— or knots—found in muscles. These knots are sensitive and when pressure is applied, it produces local pain or a referral pain in a different part of your body. A trigger point massage helps work out those knots and reduce the pain associated with them. It is specifically designed to alleviate the source of the pain through cycles of isolated pressure and release.

Deep tissue massage

This style of bodywork targets deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. Deep tissue massage is used for chronically tight or painful muscles, repetitive strain, postural problems, and/or recovery from injury.

Aromatherapy massage

The purpose of an aromatherapy massage is not so much to physically work out all the kinks and sore spots in your body, but to use the restorative properties of essential oils to relax and heal your body and mind. Essential oils are 100 percent natural, highly concentrated plant essences.
